7. CBC Play area refurbishment programme |
2004/5 HC / Cranage -£10000 plus possible external sources of funding for "new provision" Agreed urgent discussions required to make sure money spent properly or capable of being carried forward if not spent this year 2008/9 Middlewich Rd - £35000 for "total refurbishment" 2008/9 Bridge Farm £20000 "for minor rectification works" Agreed CBC be asked to consider refurbishment of this area |

8. Village Volunteers |
JC had sent apols but reported some work done in village centre. More volunteers would be welcome. Agreed some members would need to make contact with Volunteers when new Council elected; in meantime Clerk should write and thank them for their help to this Council |

Noted Bob Hardiker and Steven Jones of CBC were discussing issues with a view to making some progress |

10. Forward plan |
Clerk reported that Cranage Playing Field Development would be used as part of a plan which should be progressed by new Council. Agreed other items to include would be Joint projects, working with groups like Village Volunteers, play area refurbishment project |

11. Inspections of village centre |
Inspections had been done at this time of year in recent years; agreed it would be a sensible task for new Council; but any urgent items should be reported to Clerk |

12. Seat Sutton Oaks |
Committee considered request from Police to remove seat to prevent youths gathering following consultation with residents. Agreed Police be informed that it was unlikely all residents would agree, removal of seat would not prevent youths gathering because they would sit on walls and we cannot destroy too may facilities in the village and give in to anti-social behaviour |

Precinct Clerk had received message from agents who had inspected car park and agreed urgent action required. Work to car park and drainage would follow |
