CAD – Kinderton – Middlewich TC and HCPC had each pledged £2,000,which had given confidence to instruct Dr Le-Las; next meeting 04-09-03 to be followed by Area Meeting of Assoc of PC’s which RCP and Clerk had been asked to attend

  1. Committee considered report prepared by Clerk
  2. No unusual figures for time of year
  3. Invoice awaited from HC Primary School for Jubilee planting

8. Quality Parish Council scheme

  1. Clerk reported further on scheme and advantages for Councils
  2. HCPC undertook most requirements and would be able to adapt further
  3. Main problem is for Clerk to acquire necessary qualification because of time factor; this is a problem for many Councils
  4. CBC setting up a working party and looking for volunteers to take part; Clerk would like to volunteer
  5. Resolved: Committee should support Clerk’s involvement in working party

9. River crossing

  1. Peter Sutton of CBC had received positive response from Mr Hillhouse and wanted Clerk and Clerk of Cranage Parish Council to attend a meeting
  2. Agreed that meeting did not require member involvement – Clerk to attend and act in accordance with previous decisions with object of securing land

10. Questions raised on web site

Local residents had raised questions on web site seeking information on the following points:

  • Cranage playing fields – bookings
  • Car park behind library
  • Funding for gym at leisure centre
  • Skatepark at leisure centre
  • Council’s financial priorities
