4.  Financial report

1.      Clerk presented notes on current financial position

2.      Noted CAD likely to receive £5000 from CBC which should enable consultant to be instructed

6.  Outside donations

Committee reviewed policy on donations following comments about donation to Hermitage School.  Resolved: Committee recommend:

1.      The donation to Hermitage School should proceed as a payment which could be justified on merit for a special event

2.      The Council should continue to consider any requaests for donations as and when they arise without hab=ving any defined policy

 

 

 

 

7. CBC “At Home” meeting

1.      Details of training courses announced and would be sorted out at next Council meeting

2.      Reports had been given on Joint Highways Department, Quality, CBC HQ, Local Government Review

3.      Parish Councils had been encouraged to contribute to CAD

 

 

 

 

8. Meeting dates

1.      Because of Chairman and Clerk being on holiday in October agreed the following be recommended:

·        T&P 14-10-04 – cancel

·        Finance 21-10-04 and Council 28-10-04 – both meetings to be held on 04-11-04

2.  Public meeting re Kinderton needed to be arranged but RCP also away in October – essential that Chairman Clerk and CAD reps are available.  Meeting could be arranged for mid-November provided Clerk can get assurance that application not likely to be dealt with before end of year

9. Members’ items

Clerk to deal with the following:

1.  Lorry parking problems outside Texaco garage – already reported so refer to Police

2.      Parking at Cranage playing fields – raise in conjunction with planning

3.      New pedestrian crossing to be provided on Middlewich Rd – next T&P to consider
