1. Public Conveniences – Plan received from CBC – had enabled us Clerk to confirm comments
2. CAD – Kinderton – Meeting to be arranged
3. Somerford Motors Public conveniences – Planning application expected this week, otherwise enforcement action to start next week
4. Junction 17 – Clerk reported Highways Agency Officer to attend Joint Highways on 08-03-04. Clerk to ensure representation
5. Local Plan Modifications – Comments / objections had been submitted – reference 208
6. Library – Message of support received from Leader of CCC; information awaited from CCC budget meeting held earlier in day
7. Fire Brigade Meeting – Not going ahead
8. Dane Valley – TJH had walked valley with Steve Jones of CBC – some remedial work done already and letter of thanks from Dr Jackson. Other work to go into programme
9. Cranage / Funding – Clerk in process of arranging a meeting of the Joint Committee
10. Skateboarding – Tony Potts of CBC willing to organise meeting - Clerk to proceed on this basis
11. Village Volunteers – Clerk had progressed points raised at A&P. Further discussion on planters in Church Walk – agreed they prevented skateboarding and cycling / motor cycling so preference to keep them – Clerk to inform Police and Village Volunteers
12. Car park – Letter from Joint Highways confirming:

• remedial work to be done on surface
• skateboarding issues being discussed with Police
• planning conditions on Health Centre being checked

1. Village Centre – Roy Spicer of Joint Highways had done work since site meeting and making progress. Had asked Marshalls for updated prices. Will not be able to obtain tenders for work until after 01-04-04

5. Citizens Advice Bureau

Before formal opening of meeting Liz Shaw of CAB had given short presentation covering following points:

• Rural outreach
• Need for better premises in HC – various alternatives suggested
• Need for volunteers
• New premises in Sandbach
• Appointment of Advisory Group – 1 rep from HC ideal

1. Rab Parry – Alderman – Resolved congratulations and appreciation of his long service be recorded on appointment of RCP as an Honorary Alderman
2. "At Home" – Clerk reported on meeting held on 18-02-04 in particular

• Silence in memory of John Keeling Chairman of Sandbach TC who had died since last meeting
• Further meeting of Working Group arranged
• Budget meeting this evening – CBC rate likely to increase by 3.9% - lowest in Cheshire
• Update on Local Government Review
• Kerbside collection of recyclables to start on 01-04-04 – now to cover whole of Borough because of government funding
• Centralisation likely to proceed on Westfields site

Clerk reported that £500 grant expected from CBC to Twinning Assoc. which would enable repayment of loan

IMM reported on recent issues at Hermitage School – in particular:

Loss of school crossing patrol

Meeting on 03-03-04 to discuss "walking bus" scheme

Agreed position on crossing patrol be reviewed after meeting

1. Sutton Oaks – Parking problems noted; to be kept under review
2. Fire Station – Lack of telephone facilities noted but necessary because of abuse problems – not normally a problem because of wide availability of mobile phones
3. Parking problems – Church View Parkway and London Rd – Clerk to press Joint Highways to action these areas
